The healthy basic care for your dog

The basis of health is optimal nutrition: Healthy nutrition is best derived from nature and the natural conditions in which the wild relatives or ancestors of our animals live or lived. Only nature knows the way - it has proven it over millions of years.

The cause of all diseases is a disturbance of the inner balance, which the body cannot restore. This is usually due to a deficiency or oversupply, often both combined. Drugs can only affect this balance if feeding is improved at the same time. But it is even better to optimize daily care as a preventive measure so that as far as possible no serious health problems occur. Prevention is better than cure!

What does the dog need now?

The best way to orientate ourselves is what the wolf eats. The wolf is an omnivore, not a pure carnivore. Like all predators, it first licks the blood, then eats the innards, parts of the stomach and the entire intestine with its contents. Its prey are mostly herbivores. Their intestines are accordingly full of semi-digested plant food, rich in enzymes, vitamins (including those produced by the intestinal bacteria of the prey), secondary plant substances, chlorophyll, antioxidants and minerals and trace elements, all of which are built into organic structures, i.e not derived from rocks or chemically produced. Then muscle meat, tendons, ligaments, cartilage and bones are eaten. But fruit and vegetables are also on his menu!

Dogs need more than fresh meat, otherwise deficiency symptoms will quickly appear. Anyone who feeds extrudates (dry food) or canned food should know that both are highly heated, extrudates sometimes to over 200°C. Many vital substances do not survive this. That's why natural, high-quality supplements are essential, whether you're feeding raw, cooking your own food, or giving ready-made food.
