The liquorice root is an effective antioxidant that is used to soothe mucous membranes in the digestive and respiratory tract. It contains more than 40 different flavonoids.
The liquorice root soothes the gastric and intestinal mucous membranes, but also bronchial tubes that are under attack. It has been shown to have an antibacterial and antimycotic effect. Its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect has also been clinically proven. For gastrointestinal problems, especially stomach ulcers, intensify the effect with anise-caraway-fennel.

Application Notes

Depending on the size of the horse, mix 1 to 3 heaped tablespoons of PerNaturam licorice root into the feed.
Better still: Bring the root pieces to the boil with water and a little vinegar and pour the brew and the root pieces over the hay or into the feed. Mix the anise, caraway and fennel with a liquorice stock.
